Jacqueline Ryan

Jacqueline began her teaching career as an assistant teacher with Head Start in 2016. As she advanced on her path to earning an Associate's and Bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education, she was promoted to a teacher, lead teacher, and then site supervisor for a Head Start program in Santa Barbara.

She earned a Master's in Early Childhood Education with a direct focus on Educational Leadership and Administration from Brandman University. This degree program integrates leadership in educational environments which assists her daily work in addressing and evaluating the ever-changing program environments while also putting emphasis on the developmental needs of students, in addition to supporting the teachers’ professional growth in the field. Continuing her education in the fall of 2022, she will begin her Doctoral program in Organizational Leadership.

Jacqueline is skilled in working with both families and children in a manner that engages them in appropriate learning practices that meet the needs of the student in all developmental areas, including their social and emotional health and literacy.

She is passionate about early childhood education and building sound foundations to provide students with a safe place to build and promote resilience in themselves and their families. One passion she finds herself engulfed in is Learning Stories, which are small moments that create opportunities for students by reflecting both the child’s response, families' response, and developmentally appropriate practice. The Learning story creates the child's true identity in an authentic way. With her expertise in education and leading educators, Jacqueline is focused on supporting growth and development among teachers by creating collaborative settings for teaching teams and encouraging various teaching techniques that reach children as unique learners.
