Azul Muller

Azul Muller seamlessly navigates two roles within the early childhood education sector that underscore her dedication and expertise in the early childhood sector. Serving as the Bilingual Early Childhood Training Specialist at Felton Institute's Early Childhood and Education programs and as an Associate Professor within Norco Community College’s Early Childhood Education program, Azul ensures these programs authentically reflect the rich tapestry of linguistic and cultural diversity within the ECE workforce.

Azul’s previous oversight of publicly funded Title 5 early childhood education centers stands as a testament to her approach, emphasizing cultural and linguistic connections through inquiry-based, play-centered learning methodologies. Her dedication instills a lifelong love for learning in young minds, rooted in the celebration and preservation of diverse cultures and languages.

Azul brings a skilled passion for creating rich learning environments for adults in which they may interweave their hands-on experiences with current best practices and research.  She is continuously examining ways to bring reflective practice and teacher learning and community to the forefront of her work. Azul's multifaceted roles underscore her unwavering dedication to advancing early childhood education, both through direct impact within Felton's programs and by shaping the educational journey of future educators at Norco Community College.

Azul’s advocacy efforts extend to being an active board member with Supporting the Advancement of Learning Stories in America (SALSA). Her role here is integral to her advocacy efforts, aimed at promoting Learning Stories within early childhood settings and beyond. Her vision includes enriching intentional teaching, embedding reflective practices, and recognizing the distinctive values and competencies of both children and educators.

She lives in the greater Los Angeles area with her husband and Cat Momo. During her free time, she enjoys exploring new food locations, spending time outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
